Implementation Note
These terms apply to Licensed Copies you create and run in PocketBay from a designated source project with the creator's authorization. PocketBay records the source project, source release version, copy identifier, licence version, creation time and applicable fees. A Licensed Copy is generated only after you affirmatively accept the terms displayed on the creation page.
Nature of a Licensed Copy
A Licensed Copy is an independently running application instance generated from a designated source project and version with the creator's permission, and operated in your PocketBay space. What you receive is a licence to use, limited by these terms and the creation page, not a transfer of ownership, copyright, trademark, patent or trade secrets in the source project.
Except where the creation page expressly permits otherwise or applicable law or third-party licences require it, no editable or downloadable complete source-code package is provided, and no rights to adapt, resell, sublicense or redistribute are granted. Browser-side resource delivery needed to run the app normally does not constitute a full source-code buyout.
Creation Conditions and Records
A Licensed Copy is generated only when the source project has a valid copy authorization, your account meets the conditions then in force, and you affirmatively accept these terms before creation. The number of copies each user may create follows the limits expressly displayed at the time; default limits do not confer an unlimited right to copy.
PocketBay records the source project, source release version, copy identifier, licence version, creation time and applicable fees. Later update rules, and whether renewed acceptance is required, depend on the substance of new content and changes in authorization.
Licence Scope and Prohibited Conduct
By default a Licensed Copy is for your private use within PocketBay. You may not republish it to Discover, generate further copies, transfer, rent, resell, white-label it, open it to unspecified third parties or offer it as a distributable template without permission. Whether internal business use is allowed, and the permitted member scope, follows what the creation page expressly lists; absent authorization, the scope of use is not presumed to expand.
You must not circumvent identity, payment, quota, copy protection or access controls, and must not unlawfully obtain source-project secrets, internal materials or other people's data. Acts that applicable law does not allow to be excluded by contract, and rights granted by applicable open-source licences, are unaffected by conflicting restrictions.
Data and Credential Isolation
A Licensed Copy uses separate configuration and data space; access controls managed by the platform do not automatically expose your new data to the source project's creator. The source project's full Project Memory, raw conversations, Secrets, actual environment-variable values, payment keys, production database records, customer personal information, run logs and privately uploaded files are not part of the copy.
You configure your own lawful credentials and external accounts, and are responsible for the data you enter, account authorizations and business conduct. Public demo data or initial material is provided only when expressly listed in the delivery inventory and lawfully distributable.
The app may call third-party or creator-controlled services disclosed on the page. An independent instance does not mean every external data flow is isolated from the creator; review the dependency and data-processing notes before entering data. The platform does not treat this notice as a substitute for reasonably handling covert data transmissions and known leakage risks.
Fees
Application licence or subscription fees, creation fees, PocketBay compute, storage, network, database and AI resource charges, and third-party charges are shown separately. Creating a copy for free does not mean running it for free, and purchasing an app does not automatically include unlimited platform resources.
Any automatic renewal, automatic top-up or overage payment requires clear rules stated in advance and the necessary authorization. A one-time licence is not a platform promise of free hosting forever. Absent a separate express agreement, the creator has no obligation to pay your platform resource charges.
Version, Updates and Dependencies
A Licensed Copy is normally pinned to the version selected at creation and is not guaranteed to follow later source-project updates automatically. Upgrades, migrations, compatibility or new charges are explained before execution; neither PocketBay nor the creator promises long-term maintenance that has not been expressly agreed.
Prices or availability of external APIs, models, data sources and services may change. The platform reasonably discloses known material limitations and maintains its committed services within its own scope of control.
Changes to the Source Project
A source project disabling new copies, going private or leaving Discover does not by itself terminate a licence you lawfully obtained and that remains valid. However, source-project infringement, illegality, security vulnerabilities, termination of external dependencies, expiry of a valid subscription, or platform termination of service by law or contract may affect copy operation.
Neither PocketBay nor the creator guarantees that a copy can keep running under all circumstances; paid entitlements, undelivered portions, notice and data return are handled according to the actual transaction, responsibilities and applicable law.
Security, Content and Support
You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy and reasonably manage your accounts, data, permissions, backups and external services. Source apps may contain defects; automated review or platform listing is not a comprehensive audit, compliance certification or guarantee of business results.
PocketBay is responsible for platform infrastructure, the permission isolation it controls and the security obligations it must bear by law; creators and copy users bear responsibility within their respective scopes of control. Platform faults cannot be blanket-excluded by labelling an app "third-party".
Suspension, Termination and Data Handling
The platform may suspend or terminate a copy for illegality, infringement, known security threats, abuse, non-payment or other valid grounds for termination. Where advance notice is possible and would not obstruct security or legal obligations, reasonable notice is given; after emergency measures, reasons are explained to an appropriate extent and an appeal channel is provided.
Termination does not affect lawful charges already incurred. Export, return and deletion mechanisms provided by law or contract for the copy user's own data continue to apply. Where unlawful material, security risk or legally required preservation is involved, specific means may be restricted, but unrelated lawful data will not be arbitrarily withheld on that account.
Relationship to Other Documents
These terms prevail on the licence, delivery and scope of use of Licensed Copies; the relevant service, privacy, billing and statutory-rights terms continue to apply. Narrowing important paid entitlements already obtained, or adding new data uses, is not treated as accepted by you merely through publication of a new version.
